Too often, people looking for the right consultant, immigration provider or sponsor get lost between unverified agents and unclear promises. We built Toned Toonie to close that gap, with one transparent, verified marketplace where immigrants and immigration providers connect directly.
The problem on both sides
If you are planning to study, work or settle in Canada, finding help is harder than it should be. Search results are full of agents with no visible licence, fees that change after you've paid, and promises nobody can keep.
Genuine professionals have the opposite problem. Licensed consultants, lawyers, sponsors and employers struggle to stand out from the noise and reach the people who actually need them.
What Toned Toonie does
Seekers
Students, workers, families and newcomers create a profile, browse immigration services and sponsored jobs, and contact Providers directly.
Providers
Consultants, lawyers, sponsors, employers and settlement services list what they offer, with fees and location, and hear from Seekers who need them.
There's no middleman in the conversation and no commission on the work. Seekers and Providers reach each other by WhatsApp, phone or email.
Verified on both sides
Everyone on Toned Toonie, Seeker or Provider, uploads a passport and a government ID. Our team reviews them before the dashboard unlocks.
- Listings appear only from verified Providers
- Contact details are shown only to verified members
- Documents are stored privately and only seen by our verification team
Verification confirms who someone is. It doesn't replace a licence check, so we always encourage Seekers to look up a consultant on the CICC register, or a lawyer with their law society, before hiring.
Why "Toonie"?
A toonie is Canada's two-dollar coin. It's our promise that finding trustworthy help shouldn't cost a fortune: registration is free for the first 1,000 members each month, and never more than a one-time $2 after that.
Every member also chooses a 5-digit lucky number when they join. It becomes their Member ID and enters them in our monthly giveaway.
What we are, and what we're not
We are
- A marketplace for immigrants and immigration providers
- Identity-verified on both sides
- A direct line between Seekers and Providers
We are not
- An immigration consultancy: we don't give advice
- A government agency
- A guarantee of any visa, permit or job
